Bonnie V. Hancock

Bonnie V. Hancock is Executive Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative at N.C. State University. She also lectures and teaches courses in financial management, enterprise risk management, strategy and financial statement analysis. Prior to joining NCSU, she worked with Progress Energy, as senior vice president of finance and information technology and later as president of Progress Fuels, a subsidiary that produces and markets gas, coal and synthetic fuels, and operates fuel terminals and ash management facilities.

 

Hancock is a graduate of Georgetown University with a master’s degree in taxation. She is also a graduate of the College of William and Mary with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting major. She is a recipient of the Sells Award, which recognizes outstanding performance on the Uniform CPA Examination. She lives in Wake Forest, N.C., and is a member of the board of directors of the Marble Kids Museum, where she serves as a finance committee member, and a member of the board of directors of the N.C. Coastal Pines Girl Scout Council, where she also serves as a finance committee member.
