Five Texas Farm Credit District associations join AgFirst in expanding access to emerging farmer resources
Five associations from the Texas Farm Credit District have joined AgFirst Farm Credit Bank and other partners in expanding access to AgBizInfo.com, an innovative digital platform designed to support young, beginning and small (YBS) farmers and ranchers across the country.
AgTexas, AgTrust, Alabama Ag Credit, Legacy Ag Credit and Plains Land Bank have joined the platform, which enables emerging farmers and ranchers seeking financial guidance and business support to connect directly with them.
Nearly 70% of the Farm Credit System is now participating in the platform, with 38 credit associations on board. This expansion makes it easier for more farmers to access this one-of-a-kind digital resource tailored specifically to their unique needs.
“As we continue to grow our partnerships across the country, we are increasing visibility of this important resource for young and beginning farmers and ranchers. Supporting this vital segment is at the heart of the Farm Credit mission,” said Juan Silvera, AgFirst’s Chief Marketing Officer.
“The Texas District is proud to partner with our Farm Credit System colleagues at AgFirst through the AgBizInfo program to expand educational and business resources for young, beginning and small borrowers,” said David Camp, FCBT’s Chief Strategy Officer.
The platform features:
- Exclusive educational content tailored to beginning farmers, such as podcasts, videos and blogs to support business planning and growth.
- Interactive tools and downloadable resources, including loan calculators, a business plan template and a cash flow worksheet, to make business and financial planning easier.
- An easy way to initiate contact with Farm Credit lenders near you who understand the unique needs of agricultural financing and can help guide you through the process.
Research shows that many YBS farmers begin their journey online, yet often struggle to find relevant, trustworthy resources. AgBizInfo fills that gap while also introducing the Farm Credit brand to a new generation of farmers. Through the platform, users can easily connect with local loan officers, explore financing opportunities, and access tools to help turn their agricultural dreams into reality.
